Executive summary:

In a GLP compliant organic solvent solubility study conducted in accordance with a standardised guideline (OECD 105), the solubility of the test material was determined. Under the conditions of the test, the organic solvent solubility of the test material was determined to be 59.3 g/L in ethyl acetate.

Description of key information

The organic solvent solubility was determined to be 59.3 g/L in ethyl acetate at 20 ºC in a study performed in line with OECD 105.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Solubility in organic solvents at 20°C:
59.3 g/L

Additional information

A GLP compliant organic solvent solubility study was performed in accordance with a standardised guideline with a sufficient level of detail to assess the quality of the presented data. The study was performed to a good standard and was assigned a reliability score of 1 using the principle for assessing data quality as set out in Klimisch (1997). This study (O'Connor and Mullee, 2000) was considered to be the key study as it was performed to both GLP and a standardised guideline.

A GLP compliant organic solvent solubility study (Riggs, 1999) was performed in accordance with sound scientific principles with a sufficient level of detail to assess the quality of the presented data. The study was performed to a good standard and was assigned a reliability score of 2 using the principle for assessing data quality as set out in Klimisch (1997) on the basis that the study did not follow a recognised guideline.

A non-GLP compliant organic solvent solubility study (Berkel et al., 1987) was performed in accordance with a standardised guideline with a sufficient level of detail to assess the quality of the presented data. The study was performed to a good standard and was assigned a reliability score of 2 using the principle for assessing data quality as set out in Klimisch (1997) on the basis that the study is non-GLP.
