Administrative data
First-aid measures
General information Remove contaminated clothing immediately, to be disposed of or washed before re-use.
Inhalation Remove casualty to fresh air and provide warmth and rest; if necessary, seek medical advice.
Skin contact Clean areas of skin affected with soap and plenty of water; if necessary seek medical advice.
Eye contact Wash out eye thoroughly with plenty of water until irritation subsides; if necessary, consult an eye specialist/ophthalmologist.
Ingestion If product is swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting. Drink plenty of water; if necessary seek medical advice.
Fire-fighting measures
General hazard THE PRODUCT IS NOT FLAMMABLE BUT COMBUSTABLE
Extinguishing media To suit local surroundings (e.g. carbon dioxide, foam, chemical powder)
Extinguishing media not to be used Water jet
Special exposure hazards Decomposition products released in a fire (e.g. phthalic anhydride, oxides of carbon) should be considered as probably harmful if inhaled.
Protective equipment Wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information Avoid run-off water entering the drains (e.g. use barriers)
Accidental release measures
Methods for cleaning up Adhere to personal protective measures. Remove all sources of ignition - No Smoking! Take up with absorbent material, e.g. sand, sawdust, into tightly closed containers. Label container and dispose of as prescribed.
Environmental considerations Do not allow to get into waste water or waterways; if this occurs, inform the relevant water authority at once.
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling Handle in accordance with good hygiene and safety practice. Keep away from incompatible substances. Only use blast-resistant equipment.
Storage conditions Ensure adequate ventilation of the storage area. Keep containers tightly closed, cool (max. 25ºC), out of direct
sunlight and dry.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Exposure controls Workplace Exposure Limits (WELs) have been assigned by the HSE.
LTEL (8 hour TWA): 5 mg/m3 EH40/2005
Engineering controls Provide adequate ventilation (e.g. local exhaust ventilation).
Personal protection:Observe normal standards for handling chemicals. Avoid inhalation, and contact with eyes and skin
It is recommended that those with a medical history of sensitisation should not handle this product.
Wear personal protective equipment appropriate to the task (see below)
Eye protection Safety goggles
Skin protection Chemical resistant gloves (also consider your own risk assessment; e.g. breakthrough times, rates of diffusion and degradation, tasks undertaken)
Respiratory protection Approved respirator (e.g. EN 149:2001 FFP3) if ventilation is insufficient.
Other protection Protective overall
Stability and reactivity
Stability Stable under normal conditions of handling.
Thermal decomposition < 300ºC
Conditions to avoid Sources of ignition, ultraviolet light, high pressure
Material to avoid Strong oxidising agents, strong acids and alkalies
Hazardous reactions Hazardous polymerisation may occur.
Hazardous decomposition products Irritating and toxic vapours following fires
Disposal considerations
Advice on disposal In accordance with national and local authority regulations, e.g. The Hazardous Waste (England & Wales) Regulations 2005. EU Hazardous Waste Regulations
Contaminated packaging Treat empty containers in the same way as the product or if possible wash out thoroughly and recycle.
