Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

For the determination of the particle size distribution a Particle Size Analysis by Laser Diffraction Sympatec was used. The result of this key study is that for Calcium stannate the following values were measured: D10 = 5.57 µm, D50 = 24.05 µm, D90 = 54.38 µm.

Additional information

For the determination of the particle size distribution a Particle Size Analysis by Laser Diffraction Sympatec was used. The sample Calcium stannate must be dry before they can be dispersed. This optical measuring process measured the diffraction pattern caused by the presence of particles in the path of a laser beam. The diameter of the diffraction ring generated is inversely proportional to the size of the particles present, while the distribution of the light energy in the diffraction pattern contains the information on their quantity. For Calcium stannate the following values were measured: D10 = 5.57 µm, D50 = 24.05 µm, D90 = 54.38 µm.
