Additional information

Within the reliable key study (BASF, 2000), the vapour pressure for tributylamine was determined according to the dynamic method (OECD 104). Vapour pressure at 20°C was extrapolated from the vapour pressure curve determined between 99 Pa (42.9 °C) and 994 hPa (210.4 °C) by regression analysis: Vapour pressure (OECD 104; dynamic method; 20°C): 0.18 hPa

In the supporting study, the vapour pressure for tributylamine was determined using the static method according to DIN EN 13016-2, using the MiniVap device (Fa. Grabner-Instruments). Five measurements were performed between 130 °C (173 hPa) and 150°C (275 hPa). Extrapolated vapour pressure (linear regression; R2: 0.9995) at 20 °C: 4 hPa. The vapour pressure determined within the key study is regarded to be of higher reliability as extrapolation was over a considerably shorter temperature range.
