Additional information

PNEC freshwater sediment:

K (susp-water) = 191 m3/m3

RHO (susp) = 1150 kg/m3

Conversion factor (wwt -> dwt): 4.6

PNEC (freshwater sediment) = (K (susp-water)/ RHO (susp))*PNEC (water) * 1000

= (191/1150)* 0.1 mg/L * 1000

= 16.6 mg/kg wwt

= 76.36 mg/kg dwt

PNEC marine water sediment:

K (susp-water) = 191 m3/m3

RHO (susp) = 1150 kg/m3

Conversion factor (wwt -> dwt): 4.6

PNEC (marine water sediment) = (K (susp-water)/ RHO (susp))*PNEC (marine water) * 1000

= (191/1150)* 0.01 mg/L * 1000

= 1.66 mg/kg wwt

= 7.636 mg/kg dwt

PNEC soil:

K (soil-water) = 228 m3/m3

RHO (soil) = 1700 kg/m3

Conversion factor (wwt -> dwt): 1.13

PNEC (soil) = (K (soil-water)/ RHO (soil))*PNEC (water) * 1000

= (228/1700)* 0.1 * 1000

= 13.41 mg/kg wwt

= 15.15 mg/kg dwt

Conclusion on classification

Classification, Labelling, and Packaging Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008
The available experimental test data are reliable and suitable for classification purposes under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, as amended for the twelfth time in Regulation (EU) 2019/521.

Acute aquatic toxicity:

Based on the results obtained, substance HAT-ISO is not classified or labelled for acute aquatic toxicity, according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) as all acute LC/EC50 values were well above 100 mg/L.

Chronic toxicity:

Based on the study results (no toxicity up to 100 mg/L, not readily biodegradable, very low water solubility and high Log Pow) the substance is classified as aquatic chronic cat. 4 (H413) according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
