Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

This highly insoluble substance makes aquatic toxicity testing impractical. A data waiver is specified. Read across from two similar substances (EC 307-037-4 and EC 281-975-1, both sulfited fat liquors) using a WAF method estimate a 48hr no observed effect loading rate (NOELR) of 100 mg/L. This result indicates a substance with low aquatic toxicity. The 48-Hour EL50(Effective Loading rate) to Daphnia magna based on nominal loading rates was greater than 100 mg/l and correspondingly the NOELR (No Observed Effect Loading Rate) was 100 mg/l (WAF testing approach taken).

NOELR ≥ 100 mg/L
