Conclusion on classification

BC 001:

The substance is not classified according to GHS EU (Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008) for environmental hazards. The substance is poorly biodegradable and constituents are expected to have a bioaccumulation potential (BCF > 500). Daphnia are identified as the most sensitive organism in acute tests on aquatic toxicity. However, a long-term toxicity test with Daphnia is available and the EC10 reproduction was determined as > 1mg/L, the NOEC in the algae study was > 1mg/L. Therefore, the criteria for environmental classification according to GHS EU (Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 are not fulfilled.
