Description of key information

The water solubility of icosan-1-ol is <1 mg/L at 23°C and pH 5.5. An estimated water solubility of ca. 0.001 mg/L (Fisk et al., 2010), using a predictive method based on log Kow and validated based on trends across the category.

It is supported by a by predicted water solubility value of 0.001 mg/l at 25°C which was obtained for the substance using a validated QSAR estimation method based on log Kow.

The predicted water solubility is used for environmental modelling.
