Description of key information

The water solubility of hydrocarbon waxes was determined to be 1.248 mg/l at 25 ºC according to a non GLP compliant key study (Balazs, 2002d) performed according to the standardised guideline OCED 105.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
1.248 mg/L
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

The key study (Balazs, 2002d) is a non GLP compliant study which was performed in line with standardised guidelines with a sufficient level of detail to assess the quality of the study. The water solubility was determined by using the flask method and gas chromatography. The study was performed to a good standard and was assigned a reliability score of 2 using the principles for assessing data quality as set out in Klimisch (1997).
