Any other information on results incl. tables

An endothermal process was detected at 330°C (pure test substance and Kieselgur mixture). Temperature rise up to 550°C (650°C with 1:1 Kieselgur mixture) was measured. Strong swelling of the pure test substance was observed during the measurement which results in reduced oxygen contact with the substance surface. This effect was suppressed in the Kieselgur mixture.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The auto ignition temperature of the test substance is > 390°C. Therefore, the substance has not to be classified as self-heating according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
Executive summary:

The auto ignition temperature of the test item, measured according to VDI 2263, part 1, Screening Test per Grewer, is > 390°C.
