Additional information

One key study described above (Kobayashi and Ito, 1998), concluded that the 5d NOEC is 0.2 µmol/g soil (wet weight) and the 5d LOEC is 0.4 µmol/g soil (wet weight). Due to the fact that this study does not follow the OECD test guideline, this result should not be used alone to calculate a PNEC value for the terrestrial compartment.

Other reliable studies are available, but as they do not follow the OECD guidelines and that they do not report toxicity values in quantity of salicylic acid per mass of soil, they are not usable to calculate a PNEC value.
