Description of key information

Waived: Substance is readily biodegradable, highly insoluble in water, and direct/indirect exposure of the aquatic environment is improbable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the study need not be conducted if the substance is highly insoluble in water; or if the substance is readily biodegradable. The Natural Oil Monomer substance is insoluble in water (< 0.3 mg/L) and meets OECD criteria for ready biodegradability in the Manometric Respirometry test. Therefore, simulation testing on ultimate degradation in surface water is not required.
