Description of key information

Henry's Law Constant is estimated as < 4.0 Pa*m3/mole at 20 °C, based on ratio of vapor pressure and water solubility. This estimated value indicates that the Natural Oil Monomer components have very low potential for volatilization from water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Because the Natural Oil Monomer is composed of several substances having poor water solubility and low vapour pressure, measurement of HLC for this substance is difficult and unreliable. Alternatively, HLC was estimated for the bulk UVCB substance from the ratio of the measured vapour pressure (< 3.95 x 10-3 Pa) and estimated water solubility (< 0.3 mg/l; 1.0 x 10-3mole/m3), giving an estimated HLC of < 4.0 Pa * m3/mole. This estimated HLC indicates that the components of the NOM substance have very low potential for volatilization from water.
