Results and discussion

Any other information on results incl. tables

A test substance is considered pyrophoric when it ignites within five minutes of coming in contact with air.

Though exact composition is unknown, it is expected that the compounds present in the test substance do not contain groups that might lead to ignition in contact with air. Moreover the test substance was handled under normal laboratory conditions during this project. It demonstrated that the test substance does not ignite in contact with air.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
other: not pyrophoric
Conclusions:
Standolized linseed oil has no pyrophoric properties.
