Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In pure water: 14.8 mg/L (at 20°C, equilibrium after ca 6 days)
In reconstituted natural (daphnia) medium: ca 6.6 mg/L (up to 16.0 mg/L measured if prolonged contact time)
Considered as slightly soluble.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
14.8 mg/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

A GLP experimental study was conducted, according to the standard OECD/EC flask method. However results did not lead to a plateau. Therefore, a new study was run with more precautions (slow-stirring from above, dark conditions), and in both pure water and reconstituted daphnia medium. It is considered as key. Equilibration time was similar in both medium, with half lower concentration in daphnia medium. However a two-step solubilisation phase was observed if prolonged contact with daphnia medium, leading to similar final concentrations, but this was not considered to be relevant value for ecotoxicity studies and environmental assessment.

The standard result (i.e. in pure water) was retained as key value for purpose of CSA.
