Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The stability of the substance in the atmosphere was calculated using the software AOPWIN (v1.92). It is predicted that the substance will be degraded in the atmosphere by reaction with photochemically-produced hydroxyl radicals, with a half-life between 17.1 and 51.2 hours, at different test conditions. The more conservative value was selected.

The overall degradation rate constant with OH radicals is estimated to be equal to 6.5E-07 cm3/(molecule-day).

The stability of DEAS against hydrolysis was calculated using SPARC online tool v4.6, module Hydrolysis.

A base-catalysed second-order hydrolysis rate constant (Kb) equal to 0.0639 L/(mol-sec) at 25 deg C and pH > 8 was estimated using a structure estimation method. This corresponds to half-lives of 3.44 years at pH 7 and 125.5 days at pH 8.
