Description of key information

The 96 hr LC50 toxicity to Fish for this Category was in the range of 1.0 - ca 220 mg/l.  The 96 h NOEC based on three studies ranged between 5.6 - 46.4mg/l.  LL50 ranged from 1.1 to 32 mg/l

A range of proprietary studies were available for members of this Category which reported an LC50 of between 1.0 and 220 mg/L.

Two studies were available for the stream 64742 -90 -1 from Brixham Environmental Laboratory Astrazeneca UK Ltd (2004) and TNO (1989) which respectively reported a LL50 of 32 mg/l based on a WAF study with loading rates of 10 -100 mg/l, and an LC50 of 48 mg/l.

A study available from ExxonMoil (2004) reported LC50 values of 1.0 mg/l and 4.4 mg/l for the streams 68513 -69 -9 and 69013 -21 -4 respectively. BASF (1983) stated an LC50 of >22<32 mg/l for the stream 85117 -10 -9 and BASF (1984) an LC50 of 220mg/l for the stream 98072 -36 -7
