The 48 h EC50 toxicity to aquatic invertebrates for this Category  ranged from 1.2 to 2.7 mg/l, and48 hr EL50s were reported to range from 3.3 - 13 mg/L

Additional information

A range of studies were available for the members of this Category based on the WAF. A study provided for stream 64742 -90 -1 by Brixham Environmental Laboratory Astrazeneca UK ltd (2004) reported an EL50 of 13 mg/l. A study provided for stream 85117 -10 -8 by BASF (2007) reported EC50's of 2.4 mg/l. ExxonMobill (2003) reported EL50's of 1.2 and 3.3 mg/l for the streams 68513 -69 -9 and 69013 -21 -4 and Elf Atochem (2000) stated an EL50 of >4.58 <9.83 for 64742 -90 -1. The data provided in these studies was considered reliable for use and will be read across to the other members of the Fuel Oils Category.
