Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A long-term toxicity study on fish is available for sodium laurate, a salt of lauric acid. This study by Egmond et al. (1999) was conducted according to OECD 305E (bioaccumulation: flow-through fish test). NOEC (28d) were determined based on growth rate and mortality and were 6.4 mg/L and 2 mg/L, respectively. In addition an LC50 (28d) of 9.8 mg/L based on mortality is reported.
