Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Study technically not feasible (waiver)

MEA Polyborate only exists in aqueous solution.  It exists in a constant state of equilibrium, and attempts to remove the water result in a shift of equilibrium, and a change in the nature of the molecule.  Consequently, it is impossible to measure the melting point or boiling point of MEA Polyborate.  Although the presence of MEA Polyborate in solution would slightly depress the melting point and similarly elevate the boiling point, these may be considered to be around the melting point and boiling point of water (i.e. 0° and 100°C respectively).
