Additional information

One study investigating the ready biodegradability of 1,3-Propanediol, 2,2-dimethyl-, C5-9 carboxylates (CAS 85711-80-4) is available (van Dievoet, 1998). The study was performed following the OECD Guideline 301 B. Activated sludge from the aeration tank of a municipal wastewater treatment plant was used as inoculum. Passing of the 10 -day window is not clearly reported in the report. However, during the 28-day test period, biodegradation reached 91.8%, based on CO2 evolution. Thus the substance is regarded as readily biodegradable, but failing 10 -day window.
