Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Hydrolysis:

Key study: EU Method C.7 and GLP. The half-life of test item Wasox-MMAC2's components MMAC2, MAC3 and MM2AC were <1h at pH 4, pH 7 and pH 9 hand 25°C. Therefore, the test item Wasox-MMAC2 is determined to be easily hydrolysable at test conditions.

Biodegradation in water: screening test:

Key study: OECD Guideline 301B and GLP. The carbon dioxide evolution from the test material reached a maximum of 32.1 % after 28 days of incubation with 30 mg/L of activated sludge inoculum at 21.6 ± 0.5 °C. Therefore, the test substance Wasox-MMAC2 was determined to be not readily biodegradable at a concentration of 15 mg organic carbon per liter.

Adsorption:

Data waiving (study technically not feasible): The study is technically not feasible since the substance is hydrolytically unstable (half-life < 1h). The Log Koc and Koc of test item should be understood based on its degradation product acetone oxime: log Kow = 1.783 and Koc = 60.7 (EPISuuite v4.1 / KOCWIN v2.00, US EPA).
