Additional information

Data of two different tests is available assessing long-term effects of crotonaldehyde to fish. In a 14 day prolonged toxicity study conducted with Guppies (Poecilia reticulata), the LC50 was determined to be 556 µg crotonaldehyde/l based on nominal values. In a 41 -day fish early life stage test with Oryzias latipes, a NOEC of 0.0247 mg/L was determined. Both studies are regarded as reliable. The NOEC derived from the fish early life stage study was selected as the key parameter as this is the most sensitive endpoint.
