Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Granulometry was not investigated because thetest item is a waxy solid with determined melting temperature of 28 to 52 °C (301 to 325 K). Particle size influencing toxicological profile is irrelevant because the substance is on the border between the solid and liquid state at ambient temperature. Furthermore, the determined vapour pressure of 1.75 x 10E-03 Pa at 25 °C (298 K) indicates that exposure of humans to the test item via the inhalation route is of low concern under general use conditions at ambient temperature.

Additional information

In accordance with REACH Annex XI, a granulometry determination has been omitted because properties of the substance mean it is technically not possible to conduct the study. This decision is in line with OECD guideline 110 where melting point is noted as guidance information and that physical property must be available in order to confirm the solid nature of any substance being considered for testing.
