- Conclusions:
- 1.35 at 20 °C
- Executive summary:
The density of the substance was determined as per the OECD guideline for the testing of chemicals, No. 109, “Density of Liquids and Solids”.
The empty pycnometer, pycnometer with water, pycnometer with wetting solution, pycnometer with 2/3 of test item and pycnometer with 2/3 of test item with wetting solution were weighed in order to calculate the water equivalent and the volume of the pycnometer. The density of the wetting solution, volume of wetting solution and density of the test item were calculated from the water equivalent and the volume of the pycnometer. The test was performed at 20 °C under thermostatic conditions. The following values were obtained: 1.3462 g/ml and 1.3489 g/ml for replicates R1 and R2, respectively. The calculated mean density value of the replicates was found to be 1.3476 g/ml with 0.15 % of RSD, corresponding to a relative density of 1.35.
Conclusion
The relative density of the substance was found to be 1.35 at 20 °C.
