Description of key information

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

The 48-h EC50 of the test item was determined to be > 120 mg/L (nominal).

Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria

The ErC50 and ErC10 based on the growth rate were determined to be >94.4 mg/L (initial measured conc.) after 72-h exposure to the test item.

Toxicity to microorganisms

Due to the high volatility of the substance, an Activated Sludge Respiration Inhibition Test according to OECD Guideline 209 was technically not feasible. Therefore, the toxicity of the substance to microorganisms was assessed by inhibition control assays of a ready biodegradation test with the substance according to OECD Guideline 310. The study has demonstrated that the substance has no toxic potential to microorganisms up to a concentration of 33 mg/L. Thus, the substance is not considered inhibitory to microorganisms.
