Discussion

The standard EC Method A6 and OECD Method 105 was not applicable to this test item due to the high indeterminable saturation levels produced. It was therefore not possible to prepare samples at five times the saturation level as recommended in the guidelines. No analysis could be performed for the main test due to the high solubility producing unfilterable mixtures. Therefore the water solubility was determined based on visual inspection.

Conclusions:
The water solubility of the test item has been determined to be greater than 95% w/w of solution at 20.0 ± 0.5 ºC. Equivalent to 4.8057 g per 0.2752 g water and therefore water solubility is 17.46 g/mL
Executive summary:

The general physico-chemical properties of μ(5-amino-1,3,3-trimethylcyclohexylamine-N,N')hexafluorodiboron have been determined.

Water Solubility. Determined to be greater than 95% w/w of solution at 20.0 ± 0.5 ºC, using a flask method, designed to be compatible with Method A.6 Water Solubility of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 105 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995

Equivalent to 4.8057 g per 0.2752 g water and therefore water solubility is 17.46 g/mL
