Conclusion on classification

The classification of the substance is evaluated based on available experimental data on the three trophic levels:

Fish: LC50 (96h) = 1.614 mg/l

Daphnia: EC50 (24h) = 982 mg/l

Algae: EC50(72h) = 932.1 mg/l

An EC50 at 24 h is experimentally determined; predicted data from ECOSAR v.1.10 show an EC50(48h) of 481.197 mg/l. No hazard is therefore identified for daphnids after 48 hours of exposure.

The substance is readily biodegradable, is very water soluble, has a LogPow < 4 and is not expected to bioaccumulate. Based on the short-term toxicity results and the ready-biodegradability, the substance is not classified for (short-term and long-term) aquatic toxicity according to the criteria indicated in the CLP Regulation (EC) No.1272/2008.
