Conclusion on classification

The substance does not meet the criteria for classification under the CLP regulations for hazardous to the environment for acute (short-term) aquatic hazard (EC/LC50 < 1 mg/l) based on acute fish, daphnia and algal studies, which gave EC/LC50 values above the highest concentrations tested. These were > 15.2 mg/L in fish, > 12.4 mg/L in Daphnia and > 9.1 mg/L in algae.

The substance does not meet the classification under the CLP regulation criteria for Chronic (long-term) aquatic hazard because the EC/LC50 values in the acute studies were above the highest concentrations tested at all three trophic level. In addition, although the substance is not rapidly biodegradable , it has a log Kow of ≤ 4 (log Kow = -0.45), indicating a low potential for bioaccumulation.
