Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Aquatic toxicity

The available reliable ecotoxicity results selected for the effect of the test substance on aquatic organisms are all based on dissolved test item concentrations at test start and test end. The table below presents an overview of the reliable toxicity data:

Trophic level

Species

Parameter

Endpoint

Value
(µg/L)

Acute toxicity, freshwater

Invertebrates

Daphnia magna

48-h EC50

Algae

Raphidocelis subcapitata

72-h EC50

Chronic toxicity, freshwater

Algae

Raphidocelis subcapitata

≥ 40.6

Reliable short-term toxicity data for freshwater organisms are available for two trophic levels: aquatic invertebrates and algae.

There were no effects observed up to the highest solubility of Lumilux® Yellow CD397 in test media (i.e., EC50 >46.1 µg/L for daphia magna and EC50 >40.6 µg/L for Raphidocelis subcapitata, respectively).

Reliable long-term toxicity data for freshwater organisms are available for one trophic level (i.e., algae). The chronic 72-h NOEC for Raphidocelis subcapitata is greater or equal to the highest solubility of Lumilux® Yellow CD397 in the test medium (NOEC≥40.6 µg/L).
