Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The LC50 of water emulsions of TK 12 184 in solvent carriers was calculated to be 8.25 mg/L (95% confidence limits: 6.91 - 9.86 mg/11 mg/L) in rainbow trout, and 4.05 mg/L (95% confidence limits: 3.21 - 5.11 mg/L) in Zebrafish. The IC50 (24 h) for water suspensions of TK 12 184 in Daphna magna, corrected with the Bichromate-value, was calculated as 12.54 mg/L. Water emulsions / suspensions were prepared due to the low water solubility of the test substance.

In an algal growth inhibition study of TK 12 184, the EbC50 (0 - 72 h) was 3.1 mg/L (95% confidence limits: 2.2 - 3.9 mg/L).  The NOEbC was 0.1 mg/L. Values were based on actual end of exposure concentrations.

Additional information

The US EPA WSKOWWIN V1.42 model estimates the water solubility of TGEPO (CAS No. 83547-95-9) to be 1.798e-007 mg/L at 25 deg C.

The US EPA ECOSAR v1.11 model predicts no effects at saturated concentrations in water for TGEPO (CAS No. 83547-95-9).  The estimated logKow for this substance is greater than the class specific cut-offs for aquatic toxicity, and the predicted effect levels exceed the estimated water solubility of this substance by more than 10x.
