Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No specific studies of TGEPO basic toxicokinetics or dermal absorption are available. Relevant physical/chemical properties include:

- very low water solubility (estimated by the US EPA WSKOWWIN V1.42 model to be 1.798e-007 mg/L at 25 deg C).

- high LogKow (estimated by the US EPA KOWWIN v1.68 model to be 10.04).

- high molecular weight (656.945)

The US EPA BCFBAF v3.01 model estimates the BCF and BAF of TGEPO (CAS No. 83547-95-9) to be 109 and 0.898 L/kg, respectively, indicating that the substance does not bioaccumulate.

no bioaccumulation potential

Additional information

TGEPO is expected to have limited absorption due to its high Kow, very low water solubility and high molecular weight, as discussed in ECHA guidance (Chapter R.7c, 2017). Based on ECHA guidance for substances with molecular weight > 500 and logKow < -1 or > 4, a default dermal absorption rate of 10% is assumed for TGEPO.

The absorption efficiencies used in the assessment are:

Dermal - 10%

Oral - 50%

Inhalation - 50%

As a phosphate ester, TGEPO is expected to be susceptible to hydrolysis.
