Endpoint:
density, other
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2017.05.19
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study without detailed documentation
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: Pycnometer according to modified ASTM B873 test method
Principles of method if other than guideline:
The density of the liquid resin was determined by Pycnometer according to modified ASTM B873 test method. This test method covers the density of the sample by weighing a density cup filled with the sample at the test temperature. For reliable data, avoid air bubbles and remove overflowing sample carefully with absorbent cloth. The measurements were conducted at 25 °C. We used 100ml SUS cylindrical cup made by SOLTEC and the calculation of the density follows the equation below.

Density(g/cm3)= (W2 - W1)/100
W1 = The weight of empty density cup
W2 = The weight of density cup with sample

GLP compliance:
not specified
Other quality assurance:
other: Not Specified, but most likely ISO 17025 Certified
Type of method:
pycnometer method
Specific details on test material used for the study:
Source and lot/batch No.of test material: Miramer S512 (/Reaction mass of tris(2-hydroxyethyl)isocyanurate triacrylate (THEICTA) and tris(2-hydroxyethyl)isocyanurate diacrylate (THEICDA)), (Lot # 170118311)

Type:
relative density
Density:
ca. 1.3 g/cm³
Temp.:
25 °C
Conclusions:
Determination of the density of MIRAMER S512 was performed with a Pycnometer according to modified ASTM B873 test. The density was determined to be 1.30 g/cm3 at 25 degree Celsius.
