Surface Tension = f(t)
The five last values do not differ by more than 0.1mN/m from the mean, so they were used for the calculation of the mean.
By calculating the average of the five last values, the mean value obtained is 60.5mN/m.
Second determination
The temperature was 20.9°C at the beginning of the determination and 20.8°C at the end of the determination. The temperature during the determination did not vary by more than 0.5°C.
The time elapsed between the preparation of the solution and its transfer to the beaker is 1 minute and 37 seconds.

Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- Results of duplicate determinations do not differ by more than 0.5 mN/m, so the mean value of 60.5 mN/m is retained for final result.
- Executive summary:
A study was performed to determine the surface tension of the test item Tri-n-hexylamine. The method followed was designed to be compliant with the OECD Guideline for Testing of Chemicals No. 115, "Surface Tension of Aqueous Solutions" (1995). The procedure is considered to be compatible with the ISO 304 (1985) – Surface Active Agents – Determination of surface tension by drawing up liquid films and followed GLP.
In this method, the surface tension of the test item was determined at 20 +/-0,5°C using a Du Noüy ring.
The test item was used to prepare duplicate aqueous solutions that correspond to 90% of the saturated concentration obtained from 1 g/L loading rate. Their surface tension was then determined from five consecutive measurements with a deviation < 0.1 mN/m from the mean.
Determination 1 led to a value of 60.5 mN/m
Determination 2 led to a value of 60.5 mN/m
Results of duplicate determinations do not differ by more than 0.5 mN/m, so the mean value of 60.5 mN/m is retained for final result.
