Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:

Temp.:

pH:
10.4
Details on results:
Using the correlation log K / log Pow, the log Pow of the test item determined at pH 6.0 was not determinable, because the peak lay in the dead time of the method. Therefore the log Pow of the test item is stated as < 0.3 (log Pow of 2-Butanone, as reference item with the lowest log Pow).
The log Pow of the test item determined at pH 10.4 was calculated as 1.139 ± 0.000. This value is the mean ± standard deviation of three independent determinations.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The log Pow of the test item, measured at pH 6, is stated as < 0.3 at 25 °C.
The log Pow of the test item, determined at pH 10.4, is stated as 1.139 at 25 °C.
The study was performed according to the OECD TG117, EU Method A.8 (GLP) and EC Regulation Method A.24 without deviations and therefore considered to be of the highest quality (reliability Klimisch 1).The validity criteria are fulfilled.
Executive summary:

The partition coefficient of the test item was determined in a GLP study according to OECD 117 resp. EU Method A.8. resp. EC Regulation Method A.24. Using the HPLC method, the log Pow of the test item measured at pH 6 was not calculable, because the test item peak eluted in the dead time of the method at pH 6. The log Pow of the test item, measured at pH 6, is stated as < 0.3 (log Pow of 2-Butanone (reference item with the lowest log Pow)) therefore. The log Pow of the test item, determined at pH 10.4, was calculated as 1.139 ± 0.000. These values are the means ± standard deviations of three independent determinations. No observations were made which might cause doubts concerning the validity of the study outcome.
