PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The substance N-ethyl-o (or p) toluenesulphonamide (NETSA) is considered not readily biodegradable, but available evidence suggests the substance is not persistent.

In addition, the log Kow value is low and does not indicate concern for bioaccumulation.

Toxicity values (aquatic and human health) do not trigger the T indication.

The substance is concluded not a PBT nor vPvB substance.

Likely routes of exposure:

As the substance is concluded no PBT substance, the routes of exposure are unlikely to be of relevance.
