Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

With high probability acutely not harmful to fish.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The acute toxicity of the structurally related molecule Diethyleneglycol, propoxylated (CAS 9051 -51 -8) to fish (Danio rerio) was tested according to EU method C.1 'Acute toxicity for Fish'. No toxic effects were observed during and after 96 hours of exposure at a limit test concentration of 100 mg/L (Currenta 2009/0091/09, 2009). The test concentrations were analytically confirmed.

This result is considered to be adaptable for the test substance due to the structural similarities of both molecules.

An in-depth justification for the read-across/grouping of polyol substances is currently under development and will be submitted as soon as it becomes available.
