Description of key information

Physico-chemical endpoints are completed for this substance based on test data following standard guidelines, or data waivers. All data are therefore considered to be reliable and relevant for the endpoint concerned.

Additional information

Appearance/Physical state/Colour

The test item is a yellow liquid as reported in the test item section, and associated certificate of analysis, in a GLP-compliant experimental study (2019).

Melting point/freezing point

The pour point temperature of the test item was determined to be -7 ⁰C (2019) in the study conducted according to OECD 102 guideline.

Boiling point

The boiling temperature of the test item was not determinable as decomposition of test item was observed at temperatures above approximately 340°C in the study conducted according to OECD 103 guideline (2019).

Density

The relative density of the test item is 0.972 at 20°C (2019). The study was carried out according to OECD 109 guideline.

Particle size distribution

This endpoint was waived as in accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the granulometry study does not need to be conducted as the substance is marketed or used in a non-solid or granular form.

Vapour pressure

The vapour pressure was determined to be 0.008 Pa at 25°C in a study following OECD 104 method (2019).

Partition coefficient

The log Pow value was determined to be >6.2 (2019). The partition coefficients were determined by HPLC method according to OECD 117 method.

Water solubility

The water solubility of the test item was determined to be 4.6 mg/L at 20°C (2019). Water solubility was tested according to OECD 105 guideline using a turbidimetric method.

Surface tension

The surface tension of the test item is 51.0 mN/m. The study was performed according to the OECD 115 guideline using the ring method (2019).

Flash point

The flash point was of the substance is> 130°C based on the study conducted according to EC A.9 guideline (2019). Therefore, the substance is not a 'flammable liquid' according to the CLP criteria.

Auto flammability

The auto-ignition temperature of the test item was determined to be 401°C (2019). This study is GLP and follows a standard test guideline (EU method A.15).

Flammability

The flammability study does not need to be conducted for liquids and was waived.

Explosiveness

This endpoint was waived as in accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the explosive properties study does not need to be conducted as there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule.

Oxidising properties

This endpoint was waived as in accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the oxidising properties study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied.
