Description of key information

Photolytic degradation is practically only relevant for the Fe(III)EDTA complex and has been shown in surface waters. It is depending on pH and irradiation; in summer photodegradation rates will be higher and mainly when pH is <=7.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Several studies with EDTA complexes have been carried out and were described in detail in the EU RAR 2004. Key information has been summurized from both Frank & Rau (1990) and Kari (1994).
