Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The estimated Koc value for tetraethylene glycol is 0.05 L/kg.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Koc at 20 °C:
0.05

Additional information

The estimation of organic carbpon-normalized adsorption coefficient (Koc) was made using the KOCWIN v2.00 (2010) model of the U.S. EPA EPI Suite (v4.10) software. The model provides estimations based on both first-order molecular connectivity index (MCI) and log Kow. Both prediction methods give a log Koc value of -1.3, or Koc value of 0.05 L/kg. The substance is considered to have very low potential for adsorption to soil, sediment, and wastewater bio-solids.
