Description of key information

The test substance showed to be not readily biodegradable.

Additional information

Biodegradation: in a 28-day CO2 evolution test (modified Sturm test), the test substance showed to be not readily biodegradable (17% biodegradation after 28 days). No inhibition of microbial activity was observed. Although only limited biodegradation was observed, further simulation testing was not undertaken as it is considered not to change the current conclusion on biodegradation. Although the (environmental) conditions and population of micro-organisms in soil and sediment compartments are different, no significant biodegradation in this compartment is expected either.

In addition, QSAR modelling showed that only four out of the 18 metabolites were predicted to be not readily biodegradable and therefore potentially persistent or very persistent.
