Description of key information

The test item CHIMEXANE NB has a flash point of 217.5 °C, according to Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Method A.9. Flash Point.
In the main test the lowest temperature, where an ignition was observed, was 218.0 °C.
The measured flash point was corrected to the ambient pressure to be 217.56 °C.

Key study was performed in order to determine the flash point of Chimexane NB according to Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Method A.9. Flash Point.

The test item was placed in a test vessel and heated or cooled to the test temperature according to the procedure described in the individual test method. Ignition trials were carried out in order to as certain whether or not the sample flashed at the test temperature.

The test item CHIMEXANE NB has a flash point of 217.5 °C.

This study has been considered as reliable without restriction because the test was performed in compliance with edicted guidelines giving scientifically valid results.
