For hazard and risk assessment of 2-Chlorobutane a falsh point of -29 °C at 1 atm is taken forward as worst case approach.

In Literature various flash points for 2-Chlorobutane are reported amongst them -10 °C as reported in CRC handbook and -29 °C as reported by Riddick et al. in a technical handbook. Other values in common open databases such as Gestis are -21 °C but almost all values are in the range of -30 °C to -10 °C. Consequently, as a worst case safety oriented approach the value of -29 °C is taken forward for hazard and risk assessment in this dossier.
