Description of key information

Based on the test material's molecular structure and functionality, the test material does not have chemical groups associated with explosive properties, and it is predicted that the test material is negative with respect to explosive properties.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

Based on the test material's molecular structure and functionality, the test material does not have chemical groups associated with explosive properties, and it is predicted that the test material is negative with respect to explosive properties.

An explosive properties study was conducted on the test material EHMC, the study showed that there were no functional groups which were associated with explosive properties. Since UC is structurally very similar to the substance EHMC it was considered that UC would also have no functional groups associated with explosive properties.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Due to the above reasons in the discussion section, the substance is not classified for explosive properties.
