Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The substance is manufactured in different viscosities, from just below 100 mPa*s, up to a viscosity of 14 Pa*s. The viscosity of the quality used for the studies is in almost all cases approximately 100 mPa*s (this information is provided in the confidential section of the description of test material). Most of the substance is manufactured with this viscosity.

Company data. The manufacturers measure the viscosity regularly, also during processing in accordance with DIN 53015 (according to Hoppler). All reported dynamic viscosities are measured at 20 degrees Celsius.
