Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the oxidising properties study does not need to be conducted as the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials on the basis of the chemical structure.

Oxidizing properties can generally be observed when the test item readily oxidizes other chemical substances. Thereby, the test item itself needs to be reduced to a lower oxidation number. The carbon chain of both constituents is completely saturated. In addition, the amide moiety is known to be unreactive under the applied conditions. Therefore , further reduction of the molecule cannot be achieved. Due to its chemical structure, it can be concluded that the registered substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with a combustible material and has no oxidizing properties. Thus, the test does not need to be performed.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on structural considerations, no classification is warranted.
