First-aid measures

General advice : Move out of dangerous area. Consult a physician. Show this safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance.

Inhalation : If breathed in,move person into fresh air. Consult a physician after significant exposure.

Skin contact : Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Wash the skin immediately with soap and water.

Eye contact : Rinse with plenty of water. Remove contact lenses. Protect unharmed eye. Keep eye wide open while rinsing. Obtain medical attention.

Ingestion: Clean mouth with water and drink afterwards plenty of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Obtain medical attemtion.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media : Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment.

Specific hazards during fire fighting / Specific hazards arising from the chemical : Treat as oil fire. Do not allow run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses.

Special protective equipment for fire-fighters : In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

Further information: Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains. Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions : Use personal protective equipment. Ensure adequate ventilation.

Environmental precautions : Try to prevent the material from entering drains or water courses. No special environmental precautions required.

Methods for cleaning up /Methods for containment : Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder, sawdust). Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.

Handling and storage

Handling Advice on safe handling: Use personal protective equipment. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in the application area.

Advice on protection against fire and explosion : Normal measures for preventive fire protection.

Storage Requirements for storage areas and containers : Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Components with workplace control parameters: Contains no substances with occupational exposure limit values.

Engineering Controls: Effective exhaust ventilation system. Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location.

Personal protective equipment:

Respiratory protection : In the case of vapour formation use a respirator with an approved filter. Wear full face mask supplied with: Gas cartridge A (organic substances, brown).

Hand protection: Neoprene. Nitrile rubber.

Eye protection : Tightly fitting safety goggles

Skin and body protection : Protective suit. Choose body protection according to the amount and concentration of the dangerous substance at the work place.

Hygiene measures : Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. When using do not eat or drink.

When using do not smoke. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday.
