Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Effects of the test item on mortality, biomass and the reproductive potential of the earthworm species Eisenia fetida(Annelida, Lumbricidae) were determined according to the Guideline OECD 222 in year 2013. Under the conditions of this study, the test item did not induce evident mortality, pathological symptoms orchanges of the behaviour of adult earthworms after 28 days of exposure at all tested concentrations.
Thus, the No Observed Effect Concentration (NOEC) for the test item summarizing the endpoints mortality, body weight and reproduction of Eisenia fetida fetida after 8 weeks of exposure in artificial soil was determined to be 250 mg test item/kg soil dry weight.
The LOEC was determined to be 500 mg test item/kg soil dry weight. The EC50 for reproduction was determined to be 618 mg test item/kg soil dry weight (Confidence Intervall: 468 to 885 mg test item/kg soil dry weight).
