Conclusion on classification

Classification justification according to CLP:

Based on the available data,Amines, tri-C8-10-alkylis considered to be not biodegradable and has low potential for bioaccumulation. The short-term aquatic toxicity L(E)C50 are in a range of 3.2 - 55 mg/L for fish, invertebrates and algae. Valid long-term toxicity data are only available for algae showing an EC10 of 0.226 mg/L. Thus, the substance has to be classified and labeled with regard to long term toxicity with Category Chronic 2 according to the Regulation (EC) No.1272/2008 (CLP) and the Regulation (EU) No. 286/2011 (2nd ATP).

Classification justification according to DSD:

Based on the available data,Amines, tri-C8-10-alkylis considered to be not readily biodegradable and has a low potential for bioaccumulation. The short-term aquatic toxicity L(E)C50 values are The short-term aquatic toxicity L(E)C50 are in a range of 3.2 -55 mg/L for fish, invertebrates and algae. Thus, the substance has to be classified and labeled with regard to the environment with R51/53 according to Directive 67/548/EEC.
