Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Not readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria. Moderately biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The ready biodegradability of the test substance was investigated in two GLP guideline studies according to OECD 301F and ISO14593, respectively. Based on the oxygen consumption a biodegradation of 30 - 40% was measured in the OECD 301F study after a test duration of 28 days (BASF AG 00/0288/47/1, 2000). This outcome is supported by the results of the ISO14593 study in which a biodegradation of 20 - 30% was measured (based on the CO2 evolution after a test duration of 28 days, BASF AG 00/0288/27/1, 2001). Based on these values the test substance cannot be considered as "readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria" but "moderately biodegradable".
